In recent times, the attention of the soccer universe has drifted toward Spain. La Liga’s FC Barcelona is on the verge of wrapping up the league in a hurry. The Spanish soccer giants will secure the league if they win their next game against Espanyol. A recent report suggests that Joan Laporta wouldn’t mind dialing Gerard Pique before they win the title.

The Spanish defender had always been a vital part of the team. After falling out of favor during his last weeks as a player, the soccer veteran decided to pull the plug.

The least FC Barcelona could do is pay tribute to his wonderful career at the club. Without a doubt, the fans could be heading for a major surprise.

Gerard Pique could return to Camp Nou!

Spotify Camp Nou will witness such a party for the first time in four years. It will be a proud moment for Xavi and his diverse squad. With their major financial issues, the club decided to adopt a ‘free agent’ approach as their transfer strategy for this season. And that has worked out quite well for them. Pique was also one of the players who opted to take a major pay cut to help balance the books.

As of this season, the club is way ahead of everyone else in the league with 82 points in 33 games. Their arch-rivals, Real Madrid, are third on the points table with a tally of 68 points. A win against Espanyol could seal the title for FC Barcelona. On the other hand, Espanyol could be a spoilsport and delay the party.

Every game from now on is a must-win game for them, as the club is battling relegation. While the chances of them beating FC Barcelona are quite minuscule, soccer is quite unpredictable when it seems the most obvious!

As per Toni Juanmarti, Pique will make a comeback to Camp Nou in an emphatic way! The upper management at the club is gracious enough to include their former loyal defender in their title-winning celebrations. The club will also be planning a farewell for their veteran midfielder, Sergio Busquets.

As of now, rumors suggest that even Jordi Alba could make an exit. However, the fanbase went through an all-time low after Pique retired from the game. Currently stuck in a public feud with his ex-girlfriend, the soccer veteran just came back from a controversial US trip.

Last month, Shakira moved to Miami with her parents and children. She wanted to move further away from the toxic media in Spain and her in-laws as well. Hence, Pique will now need to travel to the US every month to meet the kids. As per their separation agreement, he can spend ten days with Milan and Sasha every month.

However, he only spent about five or six days with them in April. After he abruptly left America, contrasting reports emerged on the internet. One report suggested that Shakira supposedly ‘made things difficult’. However, a contrasting report claimed that Pique will be asking his legal team to propose a modification in the agreement. Due to his professional commitments like the King’s League, he will be unable to stay away from Barcelona for a span of ten days.
