The world of soccer is surprised yet again as American celebrities are making huge investments in major European soccer teams. The latest to join this trend is NFL legend JJ Watt, who at the end of the 2022 season announced his retirement from the NFL. However, retirement hasn’t kept him idle as he, alongside his NWSL star wife Kealia Watt, became an investor in Burnley at the start of May.

The recently promoted Premier League team is valued at a $143 million market value and would have definitely seen JJ Watt splash a huge sum for the investment. The Watt family’s foray into the world of soccer has also influenced one of Watt’s younger brothers—TJ Watt.
TJ Watt shows his soccer skills
TJ Watt is also a known figure in the NFL winning the 2021 Defensive Player of the Year award. The star showed his soccer skills in a recent Instagram video posted by JJ. In the video, TJ can be seen in the Burnley training kit but without a soccer ball involved.
As he stands in his living room, he demonstrates his wonderful soccer touches skills. He did so with no ball and only his feet movement as accompaniment. The video was captioned by his brother JJ, joking about Burnley’s takeover of the family. “The Burnley takeover is already outpacing expectations,” he said. “TJ is in full training kit in his living room visualizing first touches. What a time to be alive!”
