After buying Chelsea, Todd Boehly completed the takeover of Ligue 1 club Strasbourg. It looks like the Blues owner is not done. His next target is to buy a club in Argentina. As he is showing interest, the president of the country Javier Milei has said that he would welcome investment into Boca Juniors and other Argentinian clubs. He further said, “We have the desire expressed by Chelsea to buy Boca, Racing, Estudiantes, Newell’s or Lanus. It’s quick money… I am a member and supporter of Boca and if investment groups come and invest a fortune so that we always win then I say, ‘Where should I sign?'”

The Argentinian clubs were first not allowed to be public limited companies. However, recently the country has brought a new law that allows them to become public limited. Hence, many businessmen including Todd Boehly have shown interest in making investments. Now, it is in the hands of the Chelsea owner whether he wants to go forward with the interest. Boca Juniors is not the only club the American has shown interest in the last few weeks. Several reports have also linked him with a takeover of Portuguese giants Sporting CP.
