Fast forward a month later, the River Plate youngster is closing in on a move to European giants Manchester City. It will certainly satisfy the player that he is getting rewarded for his performance. Yet, it is just not him. His parents and siblings have also played a critical role.

The 17-year-old fantasized about being a soccer star ever since his childhood days. Claudio Echeverri’s father is Domingo and his mother is Rosa. They have supported Claudio’s dreams to become a soccer player. He also has two brothers, Yonathan and Diego, with whom he shares a close relationship. They have given him all the backing that ambitious family members do. This struggle has also helped the player to be as humble as possible.

Manchester City already has planned a roadmap for the Argentinian youngster

Pep Guardiola’s side has already developed a plan like Julian Alvarez to integrate the 17-year-old into the club. They also signed the World Cup winner from River Plate. City, though, decided to let him stay for one more year on loan in Argentina. They are now going to use a similar blueprint for Claudio Echeverri. He will remain on loan with the Argentinian giants for one more season.

As far as long-term plans are concerned, City could make space in the squad this January. Midfielder Kalvin Philips could leave the club in January. It could fast-track Claudio Echeverri into the first-team plans after he returns from the loan.
