Rute is often described as a rather private and introspective person who more or less entertains a non-public life, as evident by her Instagram account where she posts only the rarest of moments.

She possesses a fervent passion for travel and frequently shares stunning photographs on Instagram, often showcasing family moments, where she has garnered over 120k followers.

On July 2nd hours before her late husband’s tragic passing, she posted an album of pictures on Instagram which in retrospect just haunts fans. Rute posted glimpses of her wedding which took place in Spain just ten days before Jota’s accident.

What is Rute Cardoso’s Profession?

Cardoso hasn’t been public about her profession, and always has ever posted about taking care of Jota and the kids, she primarily a homemaker, takes a lot of pride in overseeing the household, especially since Diogo Jota’s professional football commitments demand his focus on training and matches.

How Did Rute Cardoso And Diogo Jota Meet?

Both Rute and Jota attended the same high school in Porto, Portugal, meeting as teenagers around 2012⁠–⁠2013. And it didn’t take much time before their bond evolved into a romantic relationship during their teenage years and they had been together since then. Rute supported Diogo’s decision when he joined Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2017, she came onboard with the idea to move in with the love of her life and moved to England with him and standing by his side as his career progressed.

Diogo Jota finally proposed to Rute Cardoso in July 2022, after nearly a decade of being together. Diogo Jota and Rute Cardoso had three children together. In August 2020, just before the forward’s transfer to Liverpool, the couple announced they were expecting their first child. Dinis, their son, was born in February 2021. A year later, in September 2022, Jota and Cardoso announced they were expecting their second child widening their family roots. They were then blessed with another baby boy in 2024 named Duarte.

A year later in 2024 the couple announced the arrival of their third bundle of joy, a girl this time, whose name hasn’t been announced yet.
