PSG will worry as Kylian Mbappe had to be substituted in the club’s last game. Mbappe was taken off the field in the 32nd minute of the game after he was assessed by the medical staff. Reports state that the player has a sprained ankle and will be unavailable for the next training session. This is a big blow for PSG, as their talisman has already refused to trigger his contract extension.

However, it seems Mbappe is not pondering about the situation. One of Mbappe’s close friends revealed that the player wakes up at 5 AM to watch him fight. PSG will hope that the player can recover from his injury and make a return as soon as possible.

Cedric Doumbe speaks on his friendship with Kylian Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe is friends with some of the most renowned athletes across France. The player is said to be close with a set of his friends spending time together when in the same town. In a recent interview with The Sun, one of Mbappe’s close friends Cedric Doumbe touched down on how he came in contact with the player and how Mbappe extends a heartfelt gesture to watch him fight.

“We’ve got a friend together, and that friend was eating in a restaurant with him. They were talking about me and my friend decided to call me, I talked with Kylian and Kylian said he likes to watch my videos. He said he doesn’t know anything about boxing or fighting but he said he will wake up at 5 AM to watch me fight. So that was very motivating for me.” 

Cedric Doumbe is a well-known French-Cameronian kickboxer who recently transitioned to MMA. The fighter is currently signed to the Professional Fighters League and holds a 4-0 record. Doumbe has also participated in Netflix’s popular reality show The Circle but failed to win it as he was eliminated after six episodes.

Meanwhile, for Mbappe, speculation surrounds him as he refused to pen a new contract with PSG.

The player has been looking for a way out of the club with Real Madrid being his preferred destination. The Frenchman’s contract comes to an end next summer, which will allow Madrid to sign the player on a free without paying any transfer fees to PSG.

The French club has been trying to avoid this situation as they want to ensure that Mbappe renews his contract with the club. Following the player’s refusal, the club tried to offload him this summer but their massive demands threw off any potential suitors apart from Saudi Arabia. With the player now likely in his final season with the club, PSG are trying their utter best to get Mbappe to agree to a contract extension.
