Wrexham AFC will be on a tour of the US before the next season starts. Not only the first team, but their legends team will also travel to the USA for an inaugural $1 million 7-a-side legends tournament. Meanwhile, the official website of the tournament shows the club owners, Ryan Reynolds, and Rob McElhenney, on the roster of the Wrexham AFC.

The Soccer Tournament (TST) will take place in June this year between 32 teams. It is an open-application tournament, and ten teams have registered by now, per the TST official website. In their attempt to hype up the tournament, where the winner takes all $1 million, the TST has revealed the roster of participating Wrexham, which includes Reynolds and McElhenney.

We can soon see the A-listers in the Wrexham colors playing a soccer game in June. According to the TST official website, the Hollywood duo is on the roster with other former club players for the 7v7 tourney. The former players include Paul, Rutherford, Mark Carrington, Shaun Pearson, and David Jones in an initial roster.

Reynolds and Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia actor are loved in the Wrexham community. Their takeover of the third oldest club in the world has brought some good fortunes to the club. They also invested in the Wrexham community since the takeover in February 2021. It’s been two years now, and the fans can see their beloved owners wearing the jersey and taking it to the field for the first time in June 2023.

The Deadpool star and McElhenney, who were not actively involved in the world of soccer, came together in 2021 to purchase the soccer club. The idea behind acquiring the low-tier club was to start from scratch and take the club to the top, making it a force to reckon with. They are now very passionate about soccer and their club and keep visiting the club’s games.

Now they are all set to take their passion for the club to a new level by playing in the new format tournament for the club.

The creators of the tournament first started with basketball (TBT) and will now have a 7-a-side soccer tournament. It will take place over four days at WakeMed Soccer Park, North Carolina, US. TST will have 32 teams, and the winner takes all $1 million prize money.

They will divide the 32 teams into groups, and then it will have a knockout format to decide on one winner. To date, ten teams have confirmed their participation, with US soccer legend Clint Dempsey having his team for TST. With Wrexham AFC, the tournament has attracted more glamor with their owners on the roster.
