The report was generated by comparing the search results of each MLS club to the search results for Wrexham. The study included searches only in the USA starting January 1st, 2024, to April 14, 2024. David Beckham’s club is more popular than the Red Dragons in 48 out of the 50 American states. But Ryan Reynolds’ team is more popular in two states, Montana and Alaska, than the MLS teams.

In addition, the report also states that Wrexham AFC’s buzz is higher in a state than the MLS club that doesn’t belong to that particular province. However, this is an exception for 5 clubs, Charlotte FC, New England Revolution, FC Cincinnati, DC United, and Sporting KC which are loved in a couple of other states apart from their own. Such stats only show the incredible connection created between the fans and the club in the USA.

Fans may be connected to the club through their performance on the pitch. But the role of their iconic docuseries Welcome to Wrexham in creating the emotion is undeniable. The FX series that takes you through the club’s surreal transition in the last three years is back with season three. Its teaser was unleashed on Jimmy Kimmel’s show recently which shows Reynolds and McElhenney pumped up for the EFL after their long-awaited promotion last year. The season is set to be released on 2nd May.

On the other hand, the club will also prepare for League One. Expecting more competition with tougher challenges, the club is expected to strengthen its squad. And with experts predicting it to do well in the future, the club and the fans could not be more excited.
