“You Do Not Set an Example to Society” – Shakira Accused of ‘Exposing’ Gerard Pique’s Kids While Sweeping 8 Awards

2023 has undoubtedly been a year full of ups and downs with Shakira and Gerard Pique. Earlier in the year, both of them had a viral diss track controversy over their heads. While the Waka-Waka singer has the larger chunk of the fanbase on her side, she also receives the occasional criticism. Recently, a TV personality accused the music artist of ‘exposing’ her kids.

Amid all the criticism, she continues to compose music and win awards. She recently won eight statuettes at the 2023 Youth Awards in Puerto Rico. The Hips Don’t Lie singer is yet to respond to any of the recent accusations against her.

Shakira is accused of ‘not setting an example for society’

It is important to note that Shakira chose to deal with her breakup differently. On multiple occasions, she has revealed that composing music has helped her get through her breakup phase. Keeping the above in mind, her diss tracks have gone viral because they’re purely authentic. The music artist has vented her inner emotions through the lyrics of the diss track.

While the diss tracks are quite ‘moving’, her ex-boyfriend’s reputation has undoubtedly taken a serious hit. When they grow older, the kids will also likely feel the repercussions of the diss track controversy. Quite a few people do not like Shakira’s route of composing music poking fun at her former partner. The most recent criticism was from Kiko Hernandez.

On live television, he said, “That what you are doing cannot be done because you do not set an example to your children, you do not set an example to society,” as compiled by Semana. Hernandez revealed that the Colombian icon had ‘exposed’ her children. Considering her stature in society, he revealed that his kids might feel the heat of her actions in the future.

Shakira’s kids are kept away from Clara Chia Marti entirely

Just days ago, a report suggested that Milan and Sasha have no idea about their father’s reality. In short, they do not know the real identity of Clara Chia Marti. They still consider her as ‘daddy’s employee’. The Colombian icon has a separate clause in place to prevent her kids from interacting with Pique’s partner. From the looks of it, the kids have formally never had a meeting with her.

Back in April, Shakira moved to Miami with her children. She seemingly wanted to get them out of the limelight immediately. In an attempt to start afresh, they moved to the singer’s luxury beach house in the USA. In the current context, the Latin American artist continues composing her choice of music. She seemingly hasn’t let anyone or anything influence her decisions.
