Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are two massive names in soccer. The GOATs ruled for several years, giving us arguably the best soccer rivalry for ages to come. Their fans will keep debating who is better, but the duo gave enthralling moments to cherish.

And now, with both of them moving out of European soccer, we won’t see them rivaling each other again. But the debate will go on between the fans. Meanwhile, the fans have added another chapter to the argument. One of the fan accounts brings up a post from last year involving Cristiano Ronaldo, Tom Brady, and Inter Miami (Lionel Messi’s new club).

Recently Lionel Messi announced his next club, ending all the speculations over his future. He chose Inter Miami over Al Hilal and FC Barcelona. As we know, both sets of fans are always searching for opportunities to take a shot at each other. Messi’s move to Inter Miami will make him the highest-paid MLS player. Ronaldo fans brought up a post from 2022 to take a dig at the Argentine after the MLS move.

One of the Cristiano Ronaldo fan accounts posted a screenshot of the Instagram post shared by Manchester United in March 2022. United shared glimpses of Ronaldo and NFL legend Tom Brady after the Red Devils beat Tottenham Hotspur. In reply, the official Instagram account of Inter Miami replied with two GOAT emojis. It was enough for Ronaldo fans to take a dig at Messi and David Beckham’s club.

One fan wrote, “Even inter Miami knows the real GOAT.” Soon, other fans of the Al Nassr forward followed suit, recognizing the GOAT status of the Portuguese. 

Meanwhile, Messi fans also entered the debate. They said that the tweet was before Messi won the World Cup. However, some raised questions over Inter Miami snubbing Ronaldo’s signing.

Some fans felt they achieved so much, and both are GOATs. 

The day when Tom Brady witnessed Ronaldo’s masterclass

The Instagram post that started reactions was from Brady’s visit to Old Trafford on March 12. It came after he announced his retirement. He witnessed Ronaldo’s masterclass on that day. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner scored an incredible hat-trick against Spurs to give United a win in the Premier League game.

After the game, fans saw Brady and Ronaldo talking to each other for several minutes. Both are elite athletes in their respective sports and Inter Miami admired their stature with GOAT emojis. And it was enough for the fans to fire shots.
