Caitlyn Clark has taken Division I basketball by storm. The Iowa guard has made a name for herself as one of the finest, with the player going into the record books as the all-time seasonal top scorer. However, before she was lighting up the basketball courts in Iowa, the NCAA superstar earned a reputation for herself as a decorated list-A athlete in the High School Division!

Clark’s journey as a soccer star dates as early as the early 2010s when she was just eleven years old. Before picking up basketball as her primary sport, the Iowa guard represented the West Des Moines Soccer Club in a 9v9 soccer championship. It seems like her competitive streak has always been there with her former coach Ross Moffat labeling her a ‘maverick’.

The spring of her freshman year opened new doors for Caitlin Clark with the player joining Dowling Catholic High School. Despite transitioning to basketball, the player remained committed to soccer, joining the school team in 2017.

At Dowling, she played under head coach JP Pearson, who took her game to the next level, developing her into one of the deadliest strikers across all high schools. As ludicrous as it sounds, Caitlin played just 6 games in her freshman year as a soccer player. However, in the short period, the player bagged 26, yes 26 goals to become the only freshman to be inducted to the all-state first-team.

While high school marked the end of her soccer career, Caitlin Clark has turned up the notch when it comes to basketball.

The past few weeks might have seen Caitlin Clark take women’s basketball by storm. The Iowa guard, just days before declaring her eligibility for the WNBA draft, shattered the NCAA top scorer record this season. Fans have been desperate to watch the player in action with the ticket prices of the Indiana Fever events almost doubling in price.

Her achievements have also seen her etch her name in history books with Clark winning the Big 10 Player of the Year award. Caitlin Clark has also been in demand with multiple brands eager to rope in the ‘Next Big Thing’. The NCAA star has already penned a deal with Panini and Gainbridge building her already impressive resume. With how things have been going as of late, it seems like the sky is the limit for Caitlin Clark!
