Footballers are a few of the biggest celebrities on the planet, at par with movie stars. The most followed person on Instagram is Cristiano Ronaldo, showing how big football is in the world. However, one USMNT star wants to mix both the worlds of football and acting.

FC Barcelona defender, Sergino Dest, spoke about a secondary career option in an interview for ESPN FC. The former Ajax man was asked what career he would’ve chosen if he wasn’t a footballer. Dest revealed that he wanted to be an actor like Vin Diesel, and act in the Fast and Furious franchise.

Actor, Vin Diesel, (We) don’t look alike, but I like the way he acts. I would like to play in Fast and Furious,” Dest revealed.

Sergino Dest and his future at FC Barcelona

An acting career seems like the last thing that should be on his mind as Dest’s career at FC Barcelona is under question. The club hasn’t been entirely satisfied with his performances this season and is looking to sign another Ajax right-back, Noussair Mazraoui.

However, it’s not like the USMNT star has a lack of suitors. Serie A club, AS Roma, and Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are heavily interested to sign the defender. According to a report by Fichajes, Bayern is looking to sign Dest in the summer. The German club missed out on their man when Dest chose to sign for FC Barcelona two years ago.
