After adding a dynamic winger in Sancho to their ranks, Varane might be the most crucial signing for the Red Devils this season. While they were a solid defensive side last season, their defense of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof did show some frailties against quality opposition.

Especially the Swedish center back had some moments to forget last season. But Varane can be the perfect addition to the side. Given the experience he has along with his elite defensive skills at the highest level, Varane can form a dominant partnership with the Englishman.

Another big positive with the Frenchman’s signing will be the fee involved in his transfer. Bringing him in on a mere £41 million, Varane is still in the prime of his career and can potentially be a game changer for the Red Devils.

If the 6’3″ center back can continue his phenomenal form, he can prove to be the bargain of the season. United have made some intelligent signings in Varane and Sancho. In the ever-increasing competition of the Premier League, quality signings can make a huge difference and United are certainly headed towards the right direction with their additions. How impactful will Varane be for United?
