A protestor tied himself to the Everton goal post

It took almost seven minutes to remove him from the ground, and people had to use bolt-cutters to untie him. However, it did not go very well for him later as Merseyside police arrested him for pitch encroachment.

Incidentally, it was this delay that caused the match to have over 10 minutes of added time. As a result, Alex Iwobi’s 99th-minute winner was something that wouldn’t have happened without the protestor. Surely, Everton fans would thank him for the delay in the long run.
