Stefanos Tsitsipas Eases Past Alexander Zverev at ATP World Tour Finals 2019

After the thrilling show which Rafael Nadal and Daniil Medvedev put up in London, the two gentlemen, Alexander Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas with sublime first-round victories at ATP World Tour Finals 2019 occupied the court. It was Tsitsipas knocking down the reigning champion, Zverev 6-3, 6-2 in the second round-robin match in London and sailed into the semifinals at the O2 Arena.

Set One: 

A clean game of tennis was portrayed by both the players with nifty forehands and backhands. Zverev had a remarkable hold on his serves, by 2-2 90 percent of the points came from his first-serve.

An error from Tsitsipas gave rise to the first break point of the match, however, the Greek ripped a forehand to score out Sascha’s advantage. After Zverev missed a shot by a millimeter, Tsitsipas held his serve.

Zverev kept his first-serve mode on and made a love hold at 3-3. After Stefanos Tsitsipas made a hold, the German was in trouble.

Consecutive errors gave the Greek two break chances. With Sascha playing on the net to save his break point, Tsitsipas smacked the ball on Zverev’s racquet which later landed on the net.

Without any further delays, Stefanos Tsitsipas pulled off the first set 6-3.

Set Two: 

A shabby start from Alexander Zverev, as Stefanos Tsitsipas had chances to break Sascha’s serve. The German could save a few break points with a proficient level of tennis, but it was Tsitsipas who held the early break and later backed up for a 2-0 lead.

Also, the Greek World Number six, Stefanos Tsitsipas had an impeccable command over his net game.

In the midst of the battle, a few officials spotted Zverev using his phone.

With the German making mistakes while trailing 3-1, Sascha Zverev continued with his unforced errors. After playing multiple deuces, Tsitsipas broke again for a 4-1 lead.

A set and two breaks up!

With three match points in hand, Stefanos Tsitsipas aced the second match point and made his ways to the semifinals at ATP World Tour Finals 2019 in 73 minutes.
