Epic Games released Fortnite: Save the World in July 2017 and soon rolled out a Battle Royale version of the title. Both games have since attained massive success in their respective genres.
It is worth noting that gaming is a constantly evolving industry. The preferences of people change with every new game, which significantly affects the existing titles on the market.
For instance, Fortnite dethroned PUBG to become the most popular Battle Royale game in the world. However, the game’s user base decreased after EA and Activision released Apex Legends, and Call of Duty Warzone, respectively.

Hence, it is safe to assume that Epic Games will now expand the Fortnite universe to more genres of gaming. This might be an amalgamation of Battle Royale and Save the World, or even MMORPG.

Twitch streamers, SypherPK, TimTheTatman, and Nickmercs, believe Epic Games might be working on a new Fortnite game already. Considering the game’s rich storyline and vast user-base, it seems like the most logical decision for the developer.
The trio of Fortnite veterans clutched an Arena victory and discussed the possibility of ‘Fortnite 2’ in a recent video:
“They got like NPCs, like bosses, and then they got the loot pool. They have everything right now that they can make an incredible, in my opinion, MMO out of Fortnite,” claimed TimTheTatman.
“Matter of time!” agreed Nickmercs.
