The teenage sensation of tennis, Amanda Anisimova was born on 31 August 2001 in Freehold Township, New Jersey. She is born to Russian immigrant parents and she began playing tennis at the age of two.
In 2018, Amanda Anisimova became the youngest player to reach the fourth round at Indian Wells since Nicole Vaidisova in 2005 and then she was awarded wildcard in Miami Open the same year.
Towards the end of the season, Anisimova reached the WTA final at Japan Women’s Open and landed being a runner up against Hseih Su-Wei, and consequently, she broke into the top 100 rankings.

Post-Wimbledon 2019, she attained her career-high ranking of World Number 23.
On the junior circuit, she achieved a career-high ITF junior ranking of number two in the world in 2016. She won her first Grand Slam title at the US Open juniors, where she defeated her compatriot Cori Gauff in the finals. She was also the part of the United States team of Fed Cup on the junior circuit.
