Angelique Kerber: Net Worth, Salary and Endorsements

The three-time Grand Slam champion, Angelique Kerber was born to Polish parents in the city called Bremen, which is part of northwestern Germany. Despite having her roots from Poland she says, ”I am German. I play for Germany, I grew up in Germany, and my heart beats for Germany”  also she adds, “my heart beats for Poland too”.

Her maternal grandmother owned an indoor tennis stadium in Poland. She is the three-time Grand Slam champion who started playing tennis at the age of three.

On-court Achievements

In the year 2011, she reached the last four at the US Open and was ranked World Number 34. Kerber won her first title in 2012 at Open GDF Suez where she defeated Marion Bartoli in the final. The year 2016, showered prosperity over the German.

She defeated Serena Williams in the final of the Australian Open and brought home her first Grand Slam title. Also, she reached a career-high ranking of World Number two after the Melbourne major. At the Rio games, she achieved a silver medal surrendering to Monica Puig in the gold medal match.

Soon after the Olympics she picked up the US Open title and claimed the World Number one spot. In 2018, she defeated Serena Williams again in a major final and claimed her first Wimbledon title.

In 2019 she reached the finals at Hopman Cup, Indian Wells, and Eastbourne. Towards the end of the season, Kerber was erratic as she concluded her season without a title and a leg injury. Also she was ranked year-end World Number 20. Until now she has drawn prize money of US $29,294,657.

She has appointed a new coach, Dieter Kindlmann in her team for the tennis season 2020.

Angelique Kerber’s Endorsements

Angelique Kerber is the global ambassador of Stuttgart car manufacturer Porsche. Her sports gear is sponsored by Adidas and she uses the rackets by Yonex. She is the ambassador for the US cosmetics company Bare Minerals.

Also for the Japanese brand, Shiseido. She is also the global brand ambassador for Australian health snack brand Slim Secrets. She has also signed an agreement with Rolex. Her endorsement made her the second-highest-paid female athlete in the world in the annual Forbes list of 2017.

Angelique Kerber’s Charity

Kerber has been named as the children’s charity UNICEF ambassador. She supports the children in Africa and Yemen affected by famine.
