Facts over feelings. This has always been my approach toward bodybuilding. Bodybuilding fans are a passionate lot and defend their favorite bodybuilder at the drop of a hat. While I too am a huge fan of Chris Bumstead and Arnold Schwarzenegger, I try not to let favoritism cloud my judgment. This is also how I approach my writing. While you won't always find me hitting the gym, you'll find me analyzing images, footage from bodybuilding contests, judges' scorecards, and diving deep into bodybuilding lore to enrich my writing. While I haven't always been a bodybuilding writer, I have always kept up with the sport to some capacity. My love for calisthenics (basically working out with your body weight) kept me connected to bodybuilding and fitness. Having penned over 1000 articles at ES, my greatest win was an article that I wrote finding mention in a YouTube video by IFBB Pro Greg Doucette. I guess one can never turn away from the sport after seeing one of the iconic posters of Arnold Schwarzenegger as a kid. Besides bodybuilding, I'm also a fight fan who loves MMA.
