Ivory Coast centre-back, Eric Bailly began his football career with RCD Espanyol in their youth team in 2011. Two years later, he debuted for the senior squad in the reserves team. It was only in 2014 that he finally made his official La Liga debut for the side.

In 2015, he penned a deal with Villareal, but he did not make many appearances for the Yellow Submarine. Finally, in 2016, he was recruited into the Manchester United squad. In fact, he was manager Jose Mourinho's first signing.

He made his English football debut on in a 2–1 win against Leicester City to win the FA Community Shield. He even starred in his Premier League debut, a 3–1 win at Bournemouth.

In 2016, Eric Bailly helped the Red Devils win the Europa League. All this was in spite of battling a knee injury that year. Unfortunately, in 2017, Bailly suffered an ankle injury and sidelined for around 100 days.

Eric Bailly has helped Manchester United win the EFL Championship in 2016-17. In addition to that, they won the 2016 Community Shield and the 2016-17 Europa League.
