Formula 1: Drive to Survive Season 4

Formula 1: Drive to Survive, a television series that managed to attract millions and millions of fans from around the world through the three distinct seasons is all set to welcome yet another addition to its family. The leading streaming platform, Netflix, will soon unveil season 4 of the world-famous documentary series which will cover the events that unfolded on and off the track in 2021 including the 2021 F1 season itself.
As always, most of the drivers, team principals, team owners, reporters, commentators, and possibly their respective family members will star in the upcoming season. However, the only driver to stay away from the show is the main man - the 2021 F1 world champion, Max Verstappen. Why? Well, the Dutchman, during the 2021 season, opined that DTS had the element of entertainment sprinkled throughout season 3 and a lot of the real facts were missing.
For instance, DTS tried to trigger a rivalry between Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris, the only two drivers who share an inseparable bond with each other. Hence, amidst the ever-present risk of Netflix trying to meddle with the incidents involving himself and his championship rival, Lewis Hamilton, Verstappen chose to back out of the cast.

"From my side as a driver, I don’t like being part of it," he said. "They faked a few rivalries which they don’t really exist. So I decided to not be a part of it and did not give any more interviews after that, because then there is nothing you can show."

What to expect from Drive to Survive Season 4?
The biggest focus of all will fall on Mercedes and Red Bull; the nerve-wracking Verstappen-Hamilton rivalry, the controversial Saudi Arabian GP and Abu Dhabi GP, Valtteri Bottas' rather bitter-sweet end to his Mercedes reign and finally, the war of words between the two bosses, Wolff and Horner.

Aston Martin and Alpine, being the newcomers, could share the screen often. And there is also the intense battle for P3 in the championship between the two constructors, Ferrari and McLaren.
Netflix Drive to Survive filming
The filming crew followed the racing family throughout the season from the very first race in Bahrain to the very final race in Abu Dhabi; This though wasn't the case in the past as the crew mostly restricted themselves to selective Grand Prix events. Hence, more on-track content to look forward to this season compared to the other three. Apart from that, there will also be a lot of off-track footage involving Lando Norris (possibly playing Golf) and other entities including Daniel Ricciardo, Christian Horner, and Toto Wolff.
