Kiki won her first WTA title in Fes, Morocco. Prior to WTA Morocco, she did not win a main draw match. En route to the title, she defeated the fifth seed, Simona Halep.

In 2019, Kiki defeated the World Number three, Halep in Madrid Open finals in her second consecutive finals in the Spanish capital. Over there she defeated four former Grand Slam champions and she became the first woman to win Madrid without dropping a set.

Also in 2019, Bertens reached her career-high ranking of World Number four. She has won nine WTA singles titles and ten doubles titles so far. With her tennis racquet, she has earned about $8,923,578.
