LeBron James: Net worth, salary, & endorsements

Often regarded as the best basketball player, LeBron Raymone James Sr or LeBron James was born on December 30, 1984, in Akron, Ohio. He started playing organized basketball in the fifth grade. His high school freshman year started with playing for St. Vincent-St. Mary varsity basketball team. However, James was prodigiously talented in more than just basketball. Moreover, there were many people who believed he could have played in the NFL. But he is now playing in the National Basketball Association. (NBA).

He is married to his high school friend, Savannah Brinson, and has a daughter, Zhuri James. Also, LeBron James’ sons are Bronny James or LeBron James Jr, and Bryce Maximus James.

His NBA career kick-started when he was picked by his hometown team, Cleveland Cavaliers, as the first overall pick in the 2003 NBA draft. Moreover, by the end of the season, he became the first Cavaliers player to win the NBA Rookie of the Year award, and it took just one more season for him to earn his first NBA all-star call-up.

In the next few years, he rose as one of the best players in basketball. He ended his contract with the Cavaliers in 2010 and was a superstar by then. As a free agent, LeBron was reported to have been contacted by quite a few teams before he finally signed for Miami Heat.

Four years later, he opted out of his Heat contract and moved back to his hometown team, where he became the first player to play five consecutive finals since the 1960s.

Though he played for years for the Cavaliers in his second stint, he opted out of contract and signed for Los Angeles Lakers in 2018. However, as LeBron James’ Lakers season was disturbed by injuries in 2018, the 2019-20 NBA season would be a fresh start for him.

His annual earning is estimated to be $89 million, out of which-  around $36 million is made on-court while $53 million is earned from various endorsements. Moreover, throughout his 16-year career, James is estimated to have accumulated a net worth of $450 million.

As part of his charity work, the basketball player set up the LeBron James Family Foundation. Also, the foundation raises and donates money for several charities. I Promise School: Most recently, James has made headlines because he built his brand new I Promise School for at-risk youth in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.
