“I heard he’s pretty good on clay,” said Sock.

Thiem is undoubtedly great on clay. He has breached the finals of the French Open in the past two editions of the tournament. Unfortunately, he lost to Rafael Nadal both times. The 27-year-old defeated Rafael in the quarters of the Australian Open 2020 but lost to Novak Djokovic in the finals.

In both the Grand Slams held this year, Thiem reached the finals. In such a situation, he is definitely one of the favorites for French Open 2020.
