“Need to Find Balance”: Novak Djokovic Announces Unfortunate News Ahead of Miami Open 2021

With a bunch of elite players withdrawing from this year’s Miami Open, World Number one Novak Djokovic becomes the latest professional to join the list of absentees at the Sunshine Double event in the USA.
Amid the travel restrictions and bio-bubbles in different tournaments, Serbian legend, Djokovic, prefers to spend time with his family in Europe rather than flying to the western part of the world for one of the biggest events in American tennis.
“Dear fans, I’m very sorry to announce that this year I won’t travel to Miami to compete. I decided to use this precious time at home to stay with my family,” the Serb announced on social media.

“With all restrictions, I need to find balance in my time on tour and at home. I look forward to coming back next year!”
Besides Novak, defending champion Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Dominic Thiem, Stan Wawrinka, Nick Kyrgios, and others will not compete at this year’s event in Florida.
