Halep’s loss there meant that she would be Grand Slam-less in 2020. Considering that she won two Slams over the course of 2018 and 2019, the Romanian must have been upset by this. Post her break, Halep is certain to resume her training in full swing to prepare for the 2021 Australian Open.
The Australian Open is a Grand Slam title that Halep has failed to win in her career. She did come close to it back in 2018 as she reached the final. However, she lost to Caroline Wozniacki in a thrilling match there.
