Social media is the place where all things happen nowadays. From trendy to tragic, everything has an equal opportunity to thrive in this place. Currently, the tennis players are making the most of this tool, as they participate in the Old El Paso’s #MessFreeChallange. The reigning Australian Open champion and American tennis star Sofia Kenin is its new face, as she accepts Bouchard’s challenge.
To promote their new product Old El Paso Tortilla Pocket, the Australian company Old El Paso has come up with an exclusive solution – #MessFreeChallenge. The task is pretty simple as one needs to perform an activity while eating an Old El Paso. It is introduced in association with the Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios and his foundation. They have together promised to donate 10,000 Old El Paso meal kits to Foodbank Australia that will bring relief to the underprivileged families in Australia. On top of that, they will also add one meal per share of Kyrgios’ challenge video via Instagram.
The challenge has caught the wind and it’s spreading tremendously. Numerous sportspeople and now including World No. 4 American Sofia Kenin has contributed to the cause. Winner of 5WTA titles juggles a tennis ball on the side of her racquet holding an Old El Paso in her other hand and ends the challenge with a surprise. Watch her flaunt her tennis skills without making a mess.
Voted WTA Most Improved Player of the Year 2019, Sofia extends the challenge to the upcoming tennis star Iga Swiatek. The 21 years old American Sofia Kenin and the 19 years old Polish Iga Swiatek are currently Grand Slam buddies of 2020. They are the defending champions of Australian Open 2020 and the French Open 2020 respectively. Also, they met each other in the finals at the Roland-Garros where the Polish conquered the title with 6-4, 6-1 as the final score.
The #MessFreeChallenge has found recipients from both Australia and the rest of the world. As it is a great way to combine marketing with social issues, it would hardly be a surprise to big faces very soon.
This initiative has brought to light a unique way to do activities, and it is fruitful at the same time. As it keeps growing from one player to another, the reward will be very pleasing. Who according to you will Iga Swiatek nominate? Will it be her French Open 2020 winning partner Rafael Nadal? You never know.
