In 2021, Bret Hart did an interview with 81 podcast, where The Hit Man made some brutal remarks about Triple H. The Heartthrob revealed HHH hated Rocky and wanted to ruin his career in WWE. Hunter even pitched an idea to strip Johnson of his Intercontinental Championship.

“When I did the big interview about America, the next week’s taping, I wrestled The Rock and they wanted me to beat him. Triple H did. He wanted me to beat Dwayne and win the Intercontinental Title.
