Apart from sports games like UFC, NBA, FIFA, NFL, it is a rare sight to see athletes involved in video games. However, in the past year, there have been many games that have featured celebrities as characters. This time, popular MMA fighter and UFC great Conor McGregor finds himself playing the lead character of a new game.
Anyone who is a fan of McGregor will know of his love for games. He has had a lot of free time on his hands in recent times, and gaming has been one of his go-to activities during that time. Conor also gave his approval to Black Ops Cold War, the latest Call of Duty title that released not too long ago.
As a side project from UFC, Conor McGregor will be appearing in the new Dystopia game as the main character.
Dystopia: Contest of Heroes is a real-time strategy game that will take place in a dystopian New York. Players will fight alongside Conor’s character and try defeating the enemies, making moves to climb the ladder, and play against others around the world.
The character in the game is visually identical to Conor. The developers even got the tattoos right. They also gave him a futuristic upgrade with a cyborg theme. Moreover, the character also features his iconic Irish beard and a fierce look.
Dystopia teased the collaboration by saying, “Every world needs a hero, In our case – it’s Conor McGregor!”
They further added, “Join UFC star on the adventure of “Dystopia: Contest of Heroes” where Conor will lead you through your journey in the future world of Dystopia, help you master your fighting and strategy skills, and lead you on your way of becoming the most powerful champion in Dystopia.”
The collaboration is going to allow fans to enjoy watching Conor McGregor fight even when he is not in the ring. Moreover, apart from all the riches he has earned from UFC, this is also going to add a lot of money to his bank.
