The first day of third test between India and New Zealand saw a mild start by India as they lost 2 wickets for 60 odd runs as Vijay(10) and Gambhir(29) departed early. Cheteshwar Pujara chipped in with 41 runs but not long before he also was dismissed while India was still struggling at 100-3.
Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane resurrected things through an unbeaten partnership of 167* helping India reach 267-3 at stumps. The partnership saw Kohli reaching his 13th test hundred. He crossed the double figures after 11 test innings after his double hundred against West Indies in July. As Kohli remains unbeaten at 103*, this is how the twitteratis across the world reacted:

Virat Kohli scored a century so that Rohit Sharma won't be under any sort of pressure. Kohli's love affair with Sharma's continues #indvsnz

When @vivrichards56 caned bowling attacks around the world in the 80's, some Indian must have prayed for one of our own. Then came @imVkohli

'Discipline' is the word I'd use if I were to describe Kohli's knock in one word. Thanks for making Test cricket glamorous. 😊🙏👍👏👏
