YouTuber gets banned

Leafy rose to fame a couple of years back, mainly through commentary and gameplay footage, primarily of CS: GO. In 2017, Leafy took a hiatus and stopped making videos. Subsequently, he returned earlier this year and started making videos that targeted several content creators.

Recently, he made some videos on Twitch streamer Pokimane. Many believe this led to his ban. Leafy’s videos mocked her content and appearance and also addressed Pokimane’s personal life.

YouTuber Keemstar posted a screenshot of the message that states why the account was banned.

“This account has been terminated due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube’s policy prohibiting content designed to harass, bully or threaten.”

Leafy has not responded to the ban as of yet.

Pokimane clarifies her side

Replying to Breslau’s tweet, Pokimane stated that she had nothing to do with the ban. A few days back, Pokimane came forth with an apology video. She stated that this is something she should have done long back.

In the video, she apologized to those she had had issues with in the past. She also addressed issues that the streaming community has been vocal about, particularly one surrounding her personal life. Many had accused her of lying to her viewers about her personal relationship. This is something that Keemstar had also spoken about.

In the video, Pokimane said that she prefers to keep her personal life away from her career.

Since Pokimane has stated that she had nothing to do with the ban, YouTube could have banned Leafy for his content. The platform does not look kindly upon videos that target, bully, and harass others.
