Conor McGregor vs Donald Cerrone. That will be the first main event in the year 2020 for UFC and what an event it is. Win or lose, it’s a huge show when McGregor is in the town. And on his long-awaited octagon return, Conor takes on the UFC legend, Donald Cerrone.

When the fight was made official, there was a little disappointment among the fans concerning the opponent, Donald Cerrone. Cowboy is coming off two losses at the lightweight division against two of the very best in the game, Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje. It was believed that Conor would get an easy win over Cerrone on his UFC return.

However, that notion is starting to fade away as we come closer to the fight day. The fact that this fight takes place at welterweight division has made the fight an intriguing one. Besides that, this fight might open up a ton of potential mega fights for the winner. On one hand, Conor will be fighting to bounce back from the loss he suffered in the hands of Khabib Nurmagomeodv. And on the other hand, Cowboy will be looking to get into a war on January 18th and come out victorious.
