“If I Say These Things He Gets Very Upset With Me” – Dana White on Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor makes his long-awaited octagon return at UFC 246 and fans are already excited about what is next for him. If Conor gets past he has some incredible match-ups waiting for him. The potential rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov for the lightweight title, a super fight with the BMF, Jorge Masvidal, and an opportunity to make history by going after the third title at 170.
As Coach Kavanagh said, Conor McGregor might be the only natural welterweight. Fighters such as Jorge Masvidal and Kamaru Usman will have a huge weight and size advantage over Conor on fight night. And Dana White does realize that and so does Conor. However, that is not going to stop Conor to take the fights at the welterweight division. And this is where the conflict begins between Dana White and Conor McGregor.
Earlier, Dana White has commented that Conor is too small for a fight against Jorge Masvidal, which made Conor pretty upset. And when asked about the Conor vs Masvidal fight again ahead of UFC 246, Dana White responded in a similar fashion.

“That’s not the fight I want to make,” said Dana White.
Conor McGregor has defied the odds before when he moved up to lightweight to beat a very tough opponent, Eddie Alvarez. Conor made history by capturing the second UFC title, however, White is not convinced that Conor would do the same at 170.

“I think everybody in that division is too big, I think Cowboy is too big for him. Conor is not a 170 pounder. Conor was the 145-pound champ. Many people thought he would not beat Eddie Alvarez. Cause Eddie Alvarez has wrestling, he can match him punch for punch, and all the things everybody said going into that fight. He knocked him out in the first round easily. I don’t love him at 170. And this is something Conor and I fight about. And when I say these things he gets very upset with me.” White explained.

Dana White has made it clear that Conor is going to fight for the lightweight title if he gets past Cowboy at UFC 246. Besides that, if Tony or Khabib pulls out from UFC 249 due to some unfortunate reason then Conor might fight on that card too.
