‘He Got One Foot in the Nursing Home’ – Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson Takes a Dig at Former Heavyweight Champion Shannon Briggs

Recently there has been much speculation regarding a fight between Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and Shannon Briggs. Briggs and Jackson have been involved in a war of words for some time as Briggs has challenged Jackson for a boxing match.

Ever since then, there has been much speculation about the fight happening. People from all around the world have been talking about the same. During a recent interview ‘Rampage’ was asked about the fight and what he thinks of Briggs.

He said, “From what I know, Shannon hasn’t fought for over five years. You know He smokes a lot of cannabis, he calls it Shannon-buss. He smokes a lot of the sh*t He’s just old. He got one foot in a nursing home, he shouldn’t be calling me out.”

“I’m older too. But he older than me. My last fight was New Year’s 2020 even though you can’t really call it a fight because I got my ass knocked out within like first two minutes or so. But I still was in training camp. Man, he looked like an old man with that gray a*s beard he got. I see nothing but old when I see him. We gonna get in there. I gotta shut his old ass up.”

In recent times, MMA and boxing stars have often faced each other. However, these fights always tend to be boxing matches and not MMA fights. Therefore, even though Jackson never shies away from taking digs at Briggs, he respects the fact that the fighter offered to even compete with him under MMA rules.

What would happen when Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and Shannon Briggs face each other?

While inside the boxing ring, ‘Rampage’ will surely be the underdog going up against the former champion Briggs. However, Jackson is no slouch himself and has an incredible MMA record of (38-14). Therefore, when the two fighters meet inside the ring, experience in combat would certainly not give an advantage to either.

Both fighters are above 40 years of age, but still, look to be in great shape. Therefore, when these two combat sports veterans meet inside the ring, one can expect fireworks. While it is still not official as to when the two fighters will face, whenever they do it is sure to be a treat for all combat sports fans.
