Ben Askren Calls Bethe Correia ‘Cat-Like’ As She Slips On The Weighing Scale

Former UFC Welterweight Ben Askren took to Twitter and shared his views on the upcoming event set in Abu Dhabi. The promotion will close out their series of events throughout July with a Middleweight headlining feature bout. Robert Whittaker will take on Darren Till in a highly critical match-up in the weight class.

The winner of the bout may be on a short-list to scrap for undisputed gold in a highly competitive division. Not to mention, the weight class is a shark tank of elite talent that spans the entire top 15 rankings. Moreover, several fighters are closing in on a title shot after racking up impressive performances in their recent outings.

Funky’ spoke out on women’s Bantamweight Bethe Correia who had a minor slip up on the scale. The Brazilian veteran is set to face off against a game opponent in Pannie Kianzad on the preliminary section of the card. Askren once again kept his Twitter followers entertained with a play-by-play version of events.

The former 170-pound contender frequently uses his massive fan base to break down the fight game. Although he stepped away from the sport, he continues to maintain a strong interest in the occurrences inside and outside the cage. Not to mention, he continues to host MMA related podcasts that have kept him within the landscape of the sport.

In terms of the fight itself, Bethe Correia has a tall task ahead of her as she faces off against the 12-5 Kianzad. The ‘Pitbull’ had mixed success throughout 2019 going 1-1 in the promotion. Chiefly, she faced high-level competition such as Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm throughout her UFC tenure.
