In the first two fights, Chimaev took some time and measured his opponent before finishing them, but UFC Fight Night 178 was his quickest venture. Following the bell ring, ‘Borz’ went straight after ‘GM3’ and connected with a right hand. It landed clean on Meerschaert’s face, dropping him down to the canvas.
It was one of the fastest knockouts in UFC history and Chimaev’s hype is still intact in the promotion, citing several matchups for him shortly.
