SCARY! Khamzat Chimaev Knocks Out Gerald Meerschaert With One Punch

It was an easy job for Khamzat Chimaev at UFC Fight Night 178 as he took out Gerald Meerschaert with a vicious knockout in the very first round. The fight had merely started, and Chimaev needed just one shot to seal the win. He went straight after his rival and knocked him out with a right hand in just 17 seconds. It was another super showdown from the Swedish fighter.

Following his back-to-back wins in July, Chimaev put a halt to his action in August. However, his return in September has been sensational with a massive win over a veteran ‘GM3’ Meerschaert. That said, the welterweight prodigy is once again on the top spot, with everyone talking about him.

Khamzat Chimaev is one of a kind in the UFC

Coming into the fight, Meerschaert had been confident about quelling on Chimaev’s hype. He also mocked ‘Borz’ on social media before the fight. However, UFC Vegas 11 brought something very different on the platter.

Amid all the hype and speculations, Chimaev’s unparalleled skills cannot be underestimated, especially when he has three finishes in just three months into the promotion.

In the first two fights, Chimaev took some time and measured his opponent before finishing them, but UFC Fight Night 178 was his quickest venture. Following the bell ring, ‘Borz’ went straight after ‘GM3’ and connected with a right hand. It landed clean on Meerschaert’s face, dropping him down to the canvas.

It was one of the fastest knockouts in UFC history and Chimaev’s hype is still intact in the promotion, citing several matchups for him shortly.

The Swedish fighter can very well be a future champion in the promotion and has already made some hardcore fans in the game. Not only that, but Chimaev is also the next big thing in the promotion.

It is no surprise that after a sensational knockout victory against Meerschaert, Khamzat Chimaev will grab more attention from the fight fans. Meanwhile, is there anyone who can vanquish Chimaev’s undefeated dominance in the UFC?
