“I am Coming for Everybody’s F****ng Head”: Jorge Masvidal Vows to Make 2020 More Violent

Jorge Masvidal is at the peak of his career. After an incredible 2019, he looks more determined for a similar start going into 2020. There are a lot of options for Gamebred going forward, after his win against Nate Diaz at UFC 244. He has not only established himself as one of the best in the welterweight division right now but has become a major attraction for UFC. For someone as big as Masvidal right now, a match-up that brings the entire UFC crowd on its feet is on the card. And who can it be other than the man who once ruled two divisions? Conor McGregor.

Ever since news broke out that McGregor is making a return to the welterweight division, Masvidal has repeatedly tried to get a match against the former champion. However, it is yet to come to reality.

Jorge Masvidal is more interested in a Conor fight than a title match against Kamaru Usman

Jorge Masvidal appeared on ESPN to talk about his 2020 schedule. He also shed light on his who he wants to face next, and why McGregor is the next best option right now.

“We’ll go get the money because Conor fight is not always going to be there. [Usman] is always going to be there. Somebody is always going to have that belt.”

Masvidal looks more interested in a money fight with Conor McGregor. Despite Dana White suggesting that Masvidal is too big for Conor, he threw an open challenge for the former two-division champion. And rightly so.

A fight against McGregor is a big money fight. Looking at the success both the fighters have achieved, they deserve a big payday. More than anybody, Masvidal’s 16-year long career is due the respect it should have received years back. He is right about there being a welterweight champion all the time. Additionally, McGregor has shown interest to stand-in as a replacement to Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson. If that’s true, it unsure how long McGregor is thinking of staying at the welterweight division, despite his claims of fighting for the UFC gold.

Masvidal also hinted at a better year and promised more spectacular octagon performances in the upcoming year. However, McGregor wasn’t the only fighter Masvidal targeted,

“I am coming for everybody’s f****ng head in this division. I am gonna get that fucking belt. The things that I am doing, the sacrifices I have taken, especially this last year, are paying off.”
