UFC lightweight fighter Kevin Lee took to Twitter and voiced his views on the recent Triller Fight Club event. Jake Paul defeated Ben Askren via first-round KO and inched one step closer to truly legitimizing himself in the sport. Paul has moved to 3-0 as a professional and is staring down the barrel of lucrative match-ups.
Chiefly, the aforementioned event was more like a spectacle than anything else. In between boxing bouts, there were several high-profile musical acts as well as a Slap boxing event featuring WWE icon Ric Flair. What’s more, Snoop Dogg, Justin Bieber, and the Black Keys were just some features that caught the attention of the viewers.
Triller put together a blockbuster show, however, the magnitude of the event made people wonder about the funding. Furthermore, the base purse of the fighters was also revealed to be quite staggering. Jake Paul walked away with $690,000 and Ben Askren with $500,00 without PPV revenues.
