After Name Botch-Up Fiasco, Former Amanda Nunes UFC Rival Slams “Friend of Amber Heard” in a 7-Word Rant

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s relationship has stirred up a lot of drama. The two have had an on-and-off relationship that lasted almost a decade and are now involved in a trial. UFC fighter Raquel Pennington somehow got involved in this mess, as she cleared her name and poked fun at a witness for the case.

Raquel ‘Rocky’ Pennington is a UFC fighter who currently competes in the featherweight division. Coincidently, she also shares her name with one of the witnesses who appeared in court this week amidst the Depp – Heard case.

‘Rocky’ wasn’t a fan as she took to social media to mock her. She shared a picture of the witness who shared the same name and captioned it, “This chick… messing up a great name.”

The witness involved in the case is Amber Heard’s former best friend. She is a jewelry designer and appeared in court this week to testify against Johnny Depp. According to her, she allegedly saw Depp throw a cellphone at Heard during an altercation that happened in May 2016. She also denied using makeup to fake Heard’s injuries.

Raquel Pennington currently fights in the featherweight division of the UFC. She has fought in the bantamweight division as well and is currently ranked #4 in it.

Pennington transitioned to the UFC from Invicta Fighting Championships. Her first fight in the UFC was back in 2013 when she took on Roxanne Modafferi. She won the bout via unanimous decision. Pennington then won five of her next seven fights with impressive victories over big names – Jessica Andrade and Miesha Tate.

This helped her get a shot at the bantamweight title that Amanda Nunes held at the time. She lost this bout in the fifth round via knockout. Since then, she has fought seven more times and won five of those. Her most recent victory was against the likes of Aspen Ladd in the bantamweight division. This puts her record at 14 wins and nine losses.
