Dana White Says Nate Diaz Will Not Fight Tony Ferguson in his Last UFC Fight

UFC President Dana White spoke to the media following UFC Vegas 41, which was headlined by Paulo Costa and Marvin Vettori. The long-time boss of the company gave his candid views on the aforementioned fight and also fielded questions about other fighters. One such name that was brought up by the media was Stockton’s second son, Nate Diaz.
Fans and media members want to know what is next for Nate Diaz who is heading into the last fight of his existing UFC contract. Many names have been thrown around as potential opponents and lightweight Tony Ferguson was one that got traction. However, White ended up shutting down the idea and revealed that there were other fights in motion for Nate Diaz.
“He’s got one more fight [on his UFC contract]. We’re working on a fight for him. Tony [Ferguson] wasn’t one of the guys we were working on, but we’re working on a fight for Nate [Diaz] now. He’s got one fight left.”

With his contract with the UFC coming to an end, it’s very possible that he decides to entertain free agency and enter the world of boxing. Other than jiu-jitsu, the Diaz brothers are boxing specialists and Nate Diaz would generate a lot of revenue at the box office. The market for celebrity boxing matches has taken over and fans have gained an appetite for the same.
