UFC welterweight Diego Sanchez is back to his wacky ways in his most recent call-out for the first quarter of 2021. Sanchez is the only active fighter from TUF season 1, and in some ways, his call-out reflects that fact. Diego Sanchez took to Direct Messaging and went after fellow welterweight James Krause in a way only he could.
Sanchez took exception to the fact that Krause spoke ill about Josh Fabia, his cornerman and mentor. Fabia has drawn flak from the MMA community as a whole at times for his somewhat outlandish statements about Sanchez’s training. However, ‘The Nightmare’ Sanchez wasn’t having any of that and invited Krause to scrap.

In turn, ‘The James Krause’ took it in stride and was more than happy to engage with Sanchez’s call-out. Furthermore, he took things further by doubling down on his trolling of Fabia, and it seems that a match-up is viable. It appears both men are inclined towards making a move for the beginning of 2021’s second quarter.

The Glory MMA stand-out in Krause bounced back from his loss to Trevin Giles with a win over Claudio Silva. The 28-8 fighter is 7-1 in his last 8 UFC contests and he’s accrued wins over some significant names. Moreover, he’s managed to exhibit a well-rounded skillset every time he steps foot inside the cage.
Fans will likely be skeptical about Sanchez’s chances should the aforementioned bout come to fruition. While he still fights at a relatively high level, his last defeat to Jake Matthews turned some fans off to the idea of him competing. Additionally, Krause is a nasty customer to deal with, but it’s clear that Sanchez is ready for the challenge.
