Colby Covington recently took a dig at Dustin Poirier as he shared a video of ‘The Diamond’ dropping an amateur fighter and celebrating. Many fans have been sharing their views on the video and now Jorge Masvidal has reacted to the same.

‘Chaos’ along with ‘Gamebred’ and Poirier was a part of the American Top Team and Covington and Masvidal were good friends back then. However, Masvidal and Covington have had a rivalry since, meanwhile ‘Gamebred’ and Poirier share a great relationship.

Therefore, it came as no surprise that Masvidal stepped in to defend his teammate and friend. He wrote, “Why don’t you post the video of @DustinPoirier dropping you with a body shot? Always hating on people with power #supernecessary.”

Masvidal talks about how Poirier had dropped ‘Çhaos’ via a body shot. As the three fighters used to train together and were a part of ATT at the same time. It is a high possibility that ‘The Diamond’ and Covington sparred together on multiple occasions.

Dustin Poirier is just days away from competing in one of the biggest fights of his career. ‘The Diamond’ is all set to face Conor McGregor at the UFC 264 main event. This will be the third fight between the two fighters and Poirier has been working very hard to win the fight.
