Khabib Nurmagomedov was a nightmare for his fellowa UFC fighters. ‘The Eagle’ retired with a perfect 29-0 record in 2021. Nurmagomedov is certainly one of the best fighters to ever grace the octagon. As easy as Khabib may have made it look, he did get hit when he was fighting. Khabib opened up about one such shot he took. One of the lightweights hit ‘The Eagle’ “like a truck”. The most surprising aspect of Nurmagomedov’s revelation is that it’s not Conor McGregor.

McGregor fought Nurmagomedov when fans loved ‘Mystic Mac’ for his unwavering dedication to the sport. The Irishman and the Russian came face-to-face at UFC 229. The Irishman’s sharpened skills fell short in front of ‘The Eagle.’ Nurmagomedov won the bout in the fourth round via submission. In a recently surfaced throwback video, Nurmagomedov revealed that it was Justin Gaethje whose strikes hurt the most. Some may be surprised that he did not mention Conor’s name.

Jre_mind posted a throwback video of Khabib Nurmagomedov talking with Mike Tyson. During the conversation, Nurmagomedov says, “You know, this guy, he hit like a truck you know. Like nobody hit me harder than Justin Gaethje. His kick, his punch, his left hook, right hook, right uppercut.”

‘The Highlight’ and ‘The Eagle’ came face-to-face at UFC 254. It was Nurmagomedov’s last fight of his fighting career. When the bout was one minute and thirty-four seconds into the second round, Nurmagomedov trapped ‘The Highlight’ in an arm triangle choke. Things got so intense that Gaethje ended up tapping out.

The MMA world can never forget UFC 254

The bout between Justin Gaethje and Khabib Nurmagomedov will certainly go down in the history books. Following the contest, the Dagestani fighter announced his retirement from the sport. The MMA community was in utter disbelief, as they expected Nurmagomedov to stay longer in the promotion and reign as the lightweight champion.

However, ‘The Eagle’ made it clear that he did not want to fight without his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, by his side. Nurmagomedov’s father was his ‘pillar of strength’ and a mentor to him.
