If an athlete has an Olympic Gold medal in his bag and a couple of UFC titles it doesn’t take much to establish his credibility. Henry Cejudo has earned a lot of respect in the world of combat sports. He won the Olympics in 2008 and then moved on to MMA. He quickly made a name for himself with his impressive wrestling skills and aggressive fighting style. In 2018, Cejudo challenged Demetrious Johnson for the UFC flyweight championship and won the title by split decision. Cejudo won the fight against Marlon Moraes by TKO in the third round and became a two-division champion.

He retired in 2020 after a successful title defense. In 2022, however, Cejudo announced his return to fighting. In a recent tweet, Cejudo shared a clip where Jorge Masvidal and Joe Rogan can be seen talking about Cejudo’s fighting prowess and MMA future.

In a video that appeared to be from The JRE MMA show Jorge Masvidal and Joe Rogan were seen talking about Henry Cejudo. It was clear that the duo had a lot of respect for the former two-division champion. Jorge Masvidal said, He’s like he was very inspirational. Yeah, Shout out to Cejudo bro, there are so many good fights coming up man and if he beats Aljamain Sterling, I don’t care what you say you got to rank Cejudo up there on MMA Mount Rushmore bro.

Masvidal and Rogan believed that following Cejudo’s fight with Aljamain Sterling, he might take up Alexander Volkanovski. The fight with Aljamain Sterling is scheduled for 7th of May, 2023 and fans are very excited about ‘Triple C’s’ comeback.

Henry Cejudo vs Sterling is an interesting match up

Cejudo is currently sitting on a 16 wins 2 losses record. The only two losses in his career have come against accomplished fighters like Demetrious Johnson and Joseph Benavidez. Before these two losses that came one after the other, Cejudo was on a 10-fight winning streak.

While there are no questions about the capabilities that Cejudo possesses, it will be interesting to see his comeback. Fans will wait to see the aggression that Cejudo once had.
