Darren Till is set to take on Derek Brunson in the main event of UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs Till this weekend. Brunson is currently on a 4-fight winning streak. Till, on the other hand, is on the hunt for his second win in the middleweight division after dropping a razor-close decision in his last fight against Robert Whittaker.

Yeah, I think he is class. I mean, I know he was out here saying I dm him every day and that’s what I do, I keep it interesting and one day I’m wishing his family well and the next day I’m just talking sh*t to him. I just keep it interesting. I’ve got nothing towards him,” said Till about his assessment of his opponent ahead of his return.

He’s been doing a job more than me, he’s been beating these guys. But, I keep saying, this is not disrespecting anyone, but I ain’t no Kevin Holland, I ain’t no Shahbazyan. I am a different animal coming in there. I’ve got fight IQ, I am getting more ferocious with each and it seems like he is getting better with age,” Till added further.

Brunson has earned two back-to-back wins against top prospects of the middleweight division like Kevin Holland and Edmen Shahbazyan. However, as a former title challenger, albeit in a different division, ‘The Gorilla’ believes he will provide Brunson a sterner challenge.

Darren Till is a man on a mission

Since his UFC debut, the Liverpool native has been tipped to win the UFC gold at some point in time. Losses to then-champion Tyron Woodley and contender Jorge Masvidal ended his tenure at 170 lbs.
