Joe Rogan is one of the most popular figures in the MMA world. Rogan has always attracted controversies over his unbiased opinions. However, there was one such incident that took place when the 55-year-old was the host of Fear Factor and was involved in a physical altercation with a contestant. It was WWE’s Michael Gregory Mizanin, aka ‘The Miz’, who stopped the fight from escalating further. After all these years, The Miz has finally narrated his side of the story. Nonetheless, in the Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan himself narrated the story. The altercation between the podcaster and the contestant took place in the 10th episode of the 6th season of The Fear Factor.

During the episode, a female contestant pushed another male participant named Jonny Fairplay. As a host, Rogan took the initiative to solve the issue. However, things went out of his hands when her husband, ‘The Amazing race’ another contestant named, shouted at Rogan. The infuriated Rogan grabbed the neck of her husband. Furthermore, The Miz came running and stood between the two to put the altercation to an end.

‘The Schomo’ was interviewing The Miz ahead of WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles, and that’s when he asked The Miz if he could recall the physical altercation at The Fear Factor. The WWE star narrated, “I remember that vividly to this day… I was doing celebrity Fear Factor. It was I believe ‘Amazing Race’ or it was like ‘Real-World Amazing Race Survivor’ and I think there’s another one but I remember all of a sudden out of nowhere, this guy, think Jonny Fairplay, who’s having fun like it was all fun and just and then Joe was just like ‘you can’t do that’ and then the guy was like ‘you can’t tell me what to do’.” 

He continued, “Joe doesn’t like that and I literally thought Joe was going to kill him was like ‘Oh my God Joe’s gonna put this guy down real fast and this is not what we want right here right now’. So I tried to separate them as much as I could but it was interesting, it got interesting.“

In his podcast, Rogan has detailed the story behind the fight. The ex-Fear Factor host explained that it was disgusting for him to watch the husband, ‘The Amazing Race’, and his wife fight the whole time while they were on the show. This was one reason that provoked Rogan the most.

Once, when the couple was arguing, Jonny Fairplay trash-talked about both of them. Following the incident, the couple was eliminated. As per Rogan’s story, the wife was so furious that she went and punched, Fairplay. Naturally, as a host, Rogan was forced to intervene.
