Now, after three years, as their paths have crossed again, ‘The Italian Dream’ believes it’s his destiny to become the UFC middleweight champion, avenging his non-title defeat to the current champion. Whereas Adesanya is hoping to put the last nail in the coffin and end Vettori’s dream by going 2-0 against him.

Adesanya continued his troll, comparing ‘The Italian Dream’ to an ex-girlfriend. The champion said, “He’s like that crazy ex-girlfriend that you dumped and won’t leave you alone. That’ll keep stalking you, scratching your car, coming to your workplace, harassing you.”

‘Izzy’ believes the first fight with Vettori should have gone down as a unanimous decision. He feels that because of this split decision, Marvin Vettori has hung to a false claim that he won the fight. Therefore, this time ‘The Last Stylebender’ will hope to leave no doubt behind by stopping ‘The Italian Dream’.
