UFC 268 had banger fights lined up and impressed MMA fans all over the globe. All the fighters gave their absolute best. But it is a highly competitive sport and some win while others have to lose. Thus, many fighters went back dejected about their loss.

One such fighter is Frankie Edgar. Edgar had to face a loss at the hands of Marlon Vera. The bantamweight fighter was left glum because of the fight stoppage.

Vera landed a powerful front kick on Edgar’s jaw in their final round and won through TKO. Edgar, who was down on the ground, was not happy about how their fight ended. He seemed to disagree with the referee’s decision to stop the fight.

During the UFC 268 post-fight press conference, UFC President Dana White was questioned about Edgar’s fight stoppage. White said, “I love Frankie Edgar. He’s he’s wrong. It was a great stoppage.

White continued, “Even when Frankie, you know, was on his knees and arguing with the ref and everything else, when he still stood up, he wasn’t right. After so, it was, it was a good stoppage.”

Edgar has a great MMA record of 23 wins and 10 losses. Sadly, the 40-year-old fighter has experienced several losses since 2019. Before a loss against Vera, he also lost against Cory Sandhagen. Hence, many UFC fans believe that Edgar Frankie should retire soon.

Experiencing defeat in such a sport is surely heartbreaking for fighters. However, Frankie Edgar has, time and again, emerged from such rough paths in his career earlier. Therefore, he could look at it as an opportunity to improve his skills and come back with a bang!
