Joe Rogan recently posted pictures of him trying out some Korean Barbecue at a restaurant called the Gangnam Korean Barbecue. However, the post had some negativity surrounding what the 56-year-old ate – baby octopuses.

Despite most of the fans trolling him for how he made the cuisine look unappetizing, the ‘Joe Rogan effect’ managed to take its course. Here is what happened to the restaurant after the UFC commentator’s visit and subsequent social media shout-out.

If there wasn’t anything such as the ‘Joe Rogan effect’, there should be one now. After Joe Rogan posted about Gangnam Korean BBQ restaurant, on his Instagram, the restaurant revealed they were packed and even had a queue lined up to try their food.

Korean cuisine is rising in popularity as of late all around the world. This can be credited mainly because of the boost in popularity of Korean culture across the world. And Rogan’s recent visit to the restaurant seems to have ticked all the right boxes.

Gangnam Korean BBQ recently posted a video on their Instagram story which showed their success. They were grateful to Rogan for his help in boosting their popularity. In a separate IG post featuring the 56-year-old, they wrote, “Cant thank @joerogan enough for stopping by and for giving us a shoutout! 🫶😩❤️ thank you! ❤️😭.”

Joe Rogan is one person who admits to experimenting with new foods and even diets. While he has now given a shout-out to Korean cuisine, his more popular choice is an all-meat diet.

The JRE podcast host’s take on carnivore diet

In episode #1994 of the Joe Rogan Experience with Theo Vonn, the podcast host admitted to switching back to a carnivore diet. He claimed that his diet mostly consisted of meat, fruits, and some vegetables.

He listed out the differences he noticed after switching to the diet, stating, “I had this moment, I guess it was about two weeks ago where I was like, ‘You know what? The best I ever felt, like, literally the best I ever felt all throughout the day was when I was on a carnivore diet.”
