Joe Rogan and conspiracy theories are no strangers to each other. The world’s most popular podcast host used to host a show called ‘Joe Rogan Questions Everything’ on ‘Blaze TV’, on which the former Fear Factor host would investigate popular conspiracy theories including Skinwalker Ranch, Bigfoot, and of course, alien contact. Famously, the Texas resident used to believe that the Apollo moon mission did not actually land on the moon.
While the stand-p comic has become conspicuously less conspiratorial over the years, his old love for conspiracies is also one of the reasons for his proclivity for having the likes of Alex Jones and Graham Hancock on his JRE podcast. While discussing the recent Baltimore Bridge collapse, he analyzed the allure of conspiracy theories and why they were so captivating.

Joe Rogan had his friend and comedian Joey Diaz on episode #2128 of the JRE podcast. The UFC commentator started off by talking about the recent P Diddy controversy and segued into talking about the conspiracies surrounding the bridge in Baltimore that collapsed on Tuesday after a cargo ship collided with it.
Predictably, both these incident triggered a plethora of conspiracy theories on the internet, but Joe Rogan remains unconvinced. “The thing is like we’re getting the rumors from the internet and the internet thinks that the Taliban took out that bridge in Baltimore so it’s like who f***ing knows what’s real,” Rogan told Diaz.

Analyzing why conspiracy theories are so attractive, Rogan felt that the main reason conspiracy theories were so attractive and drew people in was because they were fun and all inter-connected and like a Russian nesting doll, one conspiracy theory fits neatly within another conspiracy so that one is layers deep inside them, which makes it very difficult to cut through all of it.
“That’s funny. Of course, there’s layers upon layers when you get into these f***ing conspiracy theories, man. They never end. There’s just layers upon layers upon layers. It’s fun to talk about it, it’s hard to know what’s true, but people genuinely love it when someone like Diddy gets caught, though,” he added. But, conspiracy theories aside what exactly led to the collapse?

Cargo ship hit bridge in worst place possible leading to total collapse
The Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore collapsed after a container ship, christened the Dali, was sailing en route to Sri Lanka down the Patapsco River on Tuesday. About an hour after midnight, the power on the ship went out completely, plunging it into darkness and a few minutes later, it struck a pylon of the bridge, a vulnerable point of the structure, and the whole bridge came crashing down since the ship was simply too massive for the bridge to withstand the impact.
Six people working on the bridge are presumed dead, while two people had been rescued by the first responders. Two bodies were also recovered during rescue operations, while the rest of the six workers are presumed dead.
